Instructions
When writing a title for you graph, please remember:
- Must communicate the dependent and independent variables
- Can be presented in the form “Y versus X”
- Some graphs need more explanation than others. Make sure your reader would be able to understand what your data represent
- Do not write your title as a question!
Example: For data taken on "How does the depth of a river impact its speed?" a good graph title would be "River Speed vs. River Depth" or "The depth of a river compared to its speed". If I knew that the data was collected from only one river, say the Snake River, then I should add this into my title as it is important information. "Speed vs. Depth of the Snake River" or "Snake River depth compared to its speed".
Create a title for the following data sets:
