We are down to our last box of kleenex.  If you could donate a box, our runny noses would really appreciate it!

Friday is the last day of the third term.  All work must be turned in by Friday to receive credit.  I will be calculating grades next Monday during the teacher work day.

What We’re Learning This Week

This week in language arts we’ll continue reading Summer of the Mariposas.

In math we’ll be learning how to solve one-step equations.

This week in science, we'll continue learning about how resource availability affects populations.

In our Middle Ages unit, we'll be learning about the Black Death, the life on monks, and medieval towns.  Our Medieval Feast is coming up at the end of March.  Students will pick their roles for the feast in a couple of weeks.  Students will get to choose in order based on the points they have earned from social studies assignments and turning in their homework.  If you would like to volunteer to help at our Medieval Feast on March 27 from 1:00-3:30, please let me know.

Student Body Officer

Becoming a Student Body Officer is a great chance for a new seventh grader to make friends quickly.  Please see the information below about  what to do if your student is interested in becoming an SBO next year.

Millcreek Junior High--Students need to pick up a form from me.  They will be writing a one-page essay about why they would be a good student-body officer.  The essays are due back to me on March 14.  Millcreek will then judge the essays and choose an officer from Bountiful Elementary.  No late essays will be accepted.

Mueller Park Junior High--There is a MANDATORY meeting for all students interested in becoming an SBO at MPJH.  It is March 4 in the MPJH library at 6 pm.  After attending the meeting, interested students need to pick up an application from me.  These will be due on  April 11.  One student from Bountiful Elementary will be selected who will then be interviewed at MPJH to determine the final selections for officers.
