I grew up in Ogden, UT, graduated from Ogden High School, and have lived in Utah my entire life.
I love science!
I have a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice (2001) from Weber State University; as well as a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education (2011) from Western Governors University. I also have a Master of Education degree from Western Governor University (2016); as well as a Master in Biological Sciences (2021) from Grand Canyon University. I am currently enrolled in the Educational Consleing Program at Utah Valley University and will be finished in 2026. You might say, I really like school. 🤷♀️
I have worked in education for the last 12 years. Before that, I was a stay-at-home mom to our wonderful children. I taught a year in kindergarten, and 3rd grade, as well as a year in 5th grade, and then 7 years in 6th grade before coming to North Layton Jr High. This is my 5th year, and obviously, my FAVORITE school!
I have 5 children: one boy and 4 girls. My son is 23, he runs his own business and is loving life. My older daughters are 22 20, and 18; they all work and go to Weeber State. My youngest is in 10th grade, and like you, she is learning to navigate High school and everything that comes with it. She gets her driver's license in November and she is VERY excited about that!
I enjoy spending time with my family, our crazy dog, Kuma, and my fantastic cat, Binx. If I ever get asked to travel to space, I'm IN!!!! I also REALLY LOVE teaching junior high. 😁 If you want to know anything else, just ask!
