In this activity, you will use your imagination to create an imaginary country map that shows natural and cultural features. Then, you will create a population density map to show the relationships between human settlement and geography.
This activity is broken up into three parts.
The first activity is to brainstorm names of natural and cultural features for your imaginary country.
Next, you will draw a map of your country. The map will include a compass rose and a map key. You will draw and label natural and cultural features on the map.
Last, you will draw a population density map.
You will need two blank pieces of paper and crayons or colored pencils for this activity.
