Snow Day

Read for 20 minutes.  (This means either the child or the parent.)

Write the alphabet, uppercase and lowercase.  Are there any you need to work on?  If you need to practice one or two letters, that might be better than the whole alphabet. Write CVC words (consonant, vowel, consonant). Give your student simple words, see if they can sound them out and write the sounds.

Practice counting to 100 . . . Count the silverware, or the number of coins in your mom's purse, or find something to count that would challenge you. Make easy addition or subtraction problems with manipulatives, answers should stay under 10.
