AF1.A.M6 Presentation: Form

Introduction

Element of Form 

Drawing a hand or wormies and make them look -3D form

You will only pick one to finish and turn in for this asignment.

Guidelines

Standards: Create/Craftsmanship, Connect, Present, Respond, 

Art Elements: Value,Texture, Line, Color, Shape, Form,  

Design Principles: Contrast,Pattern, Unity, Rhythm

Expectations: Always do your best work, 

Materials:

  • Paper
  • Pencil
  • Sharpie or a Dark Marker
  • Something to color with , (colored pencils, markers, crayons)

Objectives:

3D Hand- Project #1

Hand Instructions

1.Trace your hand– Place your hand  on a paper and carefully trace your hand with your pencil.

2. Draw lines with a ruler- Using a ruler draw stripes across your paper, when you get to your hand skip it and finish the line on the other side of your hand.

3.  Finishing the hand with stripes- now you will connect the strips by curving the line in the hand drawing . The more you curve the line the more 3D it will look in the end.

4.Outline with thin and thick lines- outline the stripes with sharpie/marker but you don't want to outline around your hand, it can kill the illusion of 3D.  Out line just the strips and the strips over the hand.  Make some of your marker lines thicker and come thinner to create the line variety you learned about.

5. If this is the one you have chosen to complete this picture, Stop and Photograph your your shaded eye and turn it in to Half way point :Turn in here- Form hand or worm

6.Color with contrast – to make it look more 3D you will want to color darker on the edge of the hand and color lighter as you go into the center of the hand and then start coloring darker as you get to the other edge of the hand. You can do the same thing on the outside of the paper. (look at the example for this),  Shading it this way will create contrast.

7.Remember - always try your best and no scribbling please. This can ruin your hard work

Worm Tunnel - Project #2

Worm Tunnel ObInstructions

1.Draw a wavy line- draw a wavy line in the center of your paper with a sharpie or marker

3. If this is the one you have chosen to complete, Stop and Photograph your your shaded eye and turn it in to Half way point :Turn in here- Form hand or worm

4.Color – shade the worms, coloring darker on the outside of the worms and getting lighter on the inside. Create contrast with your color

5.Remember -always take your time and try your best and no scribbling please, this can ruin your hard work
