Hello Friends! Welcome to class; I'm excited to have you here!

I love teaching! This is my Fifth year teaching, and I am thrilled to be returning to Centerville Junior High.

I am a local Southern Davis County boy. I grew up downtown Bountiful and am a Bountiful Jr High and Bountiful High School Graduate. I graduated from Utah State University (GO AGGIES!) with my Bachelor's Degree in Business Education and completed my Student Teaching right down the road at Woods Cross High School. I am currently working towards completing my Master's Degree in Educational Administration with Western Governors University.

My wife (Kayla) and I celebrated our seventh year of marriage in September; she and I went to high school together, and while we were just good friends then, we started dating a few years after graduation and have loved every day together since then. She also works in education, having earned a degree in Early Childhood Development from USU. She now works as the Child Care Director for South Davis Community Hospital. We have two beautiful children. Our oldest, Lettie, is five. She is full of sass and spunk but is the light of our lives. We also have a busy little boy, Colton, who keeps us laughing and whose smile melts our hearts.

I genuinely feel that I grew up alongside technology. I was lucky enough to grow up in a home that had a computer when I was an Elementary School student. However, the Computer we had was rather cumbersome. It had a tiny little screen, and occupied almost the entire desk. It ran on dial-up internet - which means it ran through the phone lines - if someone was on the computer, you could not make a phone call, and vice versa. My first cell phone was a Nokia brick phone, and the only "game" it had on it was the snake game. I was a Senior in high school when I bought my first smartphone, the Galaxy S2. I learned how to type and do my school work on Microsoft XP95, which was only the fourth operating system Microsoft released. (Today we use number 14 - Windows 11) . I will always remember the day we got high speed internet, it was life changing! It has been amazing to watch how technology has changed over the years, I am so excited to see where it goes!

When not preparing for school, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing cards, and cooking at home. We love traveling and live for great lake days and lots of boating.
