Calculator Information

What kind of calculator should I get?

The best calculator for 7th and 8th grade math will be the  Texas Instruments TI-30XIIS.  It's usually available at stores like Walmart and Target, office supply stores, and online for around $15-20.  It comes in different colors too!  This is the exact model we will use in class, so check carefully that you are getting this same calculator.  (You will not need a graphing calculator until 9th grade so don't purchase that now.)  This calculator is also used in university/CE (high school concurrent enrollment) courses like College Algebra 1010 and 1050, as well as high school and university level science and statistics classes that require a scientific calculator.  So it will be used again after 7th and 8th grade and it's worth purchasing one now!
