Late and Absent Work
Students need to keep track of any work they miss. Missing and late assignments can have a negative effect on the student's citizenship grade.
LATE WORK - Late work will be accepted until 1-week prior to the end of term. Students are responsible to collect and correct work missed. Information on how to do this can be found on each Canvas assignment. Missing/late work may have a negative impact on a student’s citizenship grade.
ABSENT WORK - Absent work must be completed within two days of returning to school in order to not be marked late; however, I will make exceptions for prolonged absences when a parent or student communicates proactively with me. Students are responsible to collect and correct work missed. Check our class Canvas page to see assignments given. Paper copies are always available in class and PDF links for each assignment are included on the Canvas assignment page as well so that you may print an assignment if you have that option.
How will late or missing work effect my citizenship grade?
CITIZENSHIP - *Citizenship grades will be given each term and reflect your academic responsibility as well as your ability to meet class expectations. This is a subjective assessment given by your teacher and should be considered feedback on the overall impression you are demonstrating.
*Students will automatically earn a U if they are caught cheating and/or show disrespect for a substitute teacher.
