About Ms. Hinojosa

I graduated from Weber State University with a B.S. in Elementary Education and a minor in English as a Second Language in 2010. I later graduated from Western Governors University with a Masters in Learning and Technology in 2022. I am currently working on my doctorate in instructional technology at the American College of Education.

I completed my student teaching placement at Holt Elementary in Clearfield and was hired to stay for the following school year. I then taught a 4th/6th grade funnel at Muir Elementary in Bountiful. The next year, I moved to Wasatch Elementary and taught 6th grade, then 5th grade, and now I am so happy to teach 4th grade!

I decided to go into teaching because I love being around kids. Watching a child get excited and proud over something they have just learned or discovered is the best feeling. Because of these moments, I could never get bored of teaching.

Through my experiences, I believe that children learn primarily through play and exploration. I try to incorporate this philosophy when planning lessons. My goal is to create innovative, memorable, and relevant experiences that target the individual needs of my students.

On a personal note, I have a beautiful and silly daughter named Abigail, currently attending Southern Utah University, and a cat named Sooki. I love spending time with my family, reading, watching movies, museums, cooking, puzzles, live theater, geocaching, road trips, and elephants.
