Top 10 Canvas Tips for Parents

I am excited for another great year here at Centerville Junior High. I am entering my seventeenth (17) year of teaching and have taught all ages of secondary school (7th grade through 12th grade), but I love working with junior high kids the most! Each day is a new and exciting adventure. I never know what the day will bring, but I do get the opportunity to laugh daily.

In 2018, I completed my Masters in Education at Western Governors University and enjoy applying many of the tools of mastery I acquired through my program in curriculum and instruction. In 2019, I completed additional training through Microsoft earning the status of Davis District Leading EDGEucator and Microsoft Educator. I have enjoyed using my increased understanding of technology with my students and in the classroom. I am currently working on earning my Reading Endorsement through Davis School District and the Utah State Board of Education (USBE).

As much as I love being a teacher, I love being a mom and wife even more! I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Ryan Roghaar since 2003. We have two (2) sons, Ethan (17) and Lucas (13) and two (2) dogs, Cookie and Kali. We enjoy watching and playing sports. Ethan plays football and lacrosse. Lucas is a soccer NUT! But he also enjoys tackle football and hockey. Spending time with family and friends brings us all great pleasure. We manage to stay busy ALL OF THE TIME!

I'm looking forward to getting to know all my new students this year at CJH.
