HOW DO I CONTACT YOU?

I ask that you (the students) send me an email through Canvas. You also have that cool "Hey, Moss!" discussion that I check regularly to answer questions as well. I get instant notifications for both of these and respond quicker. If your parents have questions I ask that they email me at marmoss@dsdmail.net. I will respond within the next school day.

I do not typically reply over weekends. I leave all my work at school during school hours. I enjoy my weekends out of school just like you do!

If you are contacting me about absent work you turned in the answer will be:

I grade all work by the Friday after it was turned in. Please don't ask me about it until the Friday after you turned it in. Grading late/absent work takes time, give me time to do it and enter your score.

WHAT IF I NEED EXTRA HELP?

If you need some extra help that is totally okay! Everyone learns at a different pace and that is normal. It would be weird if everyone learned the same...

If you need extra help you can email Mrs. Moss through Canvas, or "Hey, Moss!" me. I will set up a time to help you.

OR

There is also the option of homework club! There is always a math teacher there and they would be more than willing to help you figure it out!

HOW DOES CLASS WORK?

That is another excellent question! My class will run a little bit differently for the first 2 terms as I will be out on maternity leave for the first part of the school year. I will be using a rotation style in my classroom. Each of these rotations will be focused on a certain style of learning for a short period of class, and then everyone will rotate through the stations (without actually moving). This is a procedure that will be taught to all of my students in the short month I have with them before I leave. I also will have some awesome peer tutors that will help me run class. They will each be in charge of their own rotations to help aide the long term sub while I am gone. When I get back we will dive straight into the Mosstopia story, while still embracing the rotations that everyone is used to.
