Get to Know Miss Cooper

I grew up in Kaysville, Utah and have lived in Utah for most of my life. I went to Columbia Elementary, Kaysville Junior High and Davis High School. I have definitely had some great teachers during my education. I graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education in July of 2008. I did most of my practicum and student teaching in Idaho. I completed my main independent student teaching in the summer of 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was a wonderful experience, but I am extremely happy to be back in Utah to teach!

Some of my favorite things to do include: reading, playing the piano, singing, and clogging. Clogging takes up most of time when I am not teaching! I have clogged since I was 6 years old and currently teach as well as compete at a K&C's Fab 5 Studio located in South Ogden.

This is my 16th year of teaching fourth grade! My first 12 years of teaching, I was at Crestview Elementary in Layton and will miss it dearly. I have completed my ESL endorsement, Level 1 Reading Endorsement, Educational Technology Endorsement, and I just received my Masters in Learning and Technology.

I am so excited to be a Sunburst Lion!
