Shared Read- Marian Anderson- Struggles and Triumphs (pg. 208) Today we will read a short biography about American singer Marian Anderson.

First Read- Read the text as a class. This week we are focusing on summarizing and will use cause and effect to help help with the summary. As you listen to the story think of how you would summarize what happens in the text.

Second Read- You will now read the text in pairs and complete pages 212 and 213, we will discuss as a class.
