What will my Art Class look like during the blended In person-Remote Learning Time?

Class time will be dedicated to hands-on art projects.  Students are expected to come to class having viewed required materials for the week's project on Canvas prior to coming to class.  Some classes will require completing Canvas content before working on a specific project in class.

Each week students will have Remote Learning tasks to complete.  This may be a sketchbook prompt, view a video or presentation, group discussion or a Canvas quiz.  When in class students will be making art; working to demonstrate essential skills of the curriculum, or working with materials only available in the classroom.  The expectation is that students use class time efficiently to complete the projects.  In Art the majority of assessments are project oriented aimed to meet curriculum standards.  Each Canvas module will also have Enrichment Art Activities  for students to engage in art making at home.  Enrichment projects will not be graded, but can provide more creative opportunities.

The course calendar will be updated weekly and will include information for in-class projects and Remote Learning due dates.
