Water Color Studies: Sky Color

You will complete 3 small paintings.

Sky Colors

Inspired by the picture book Sky Colors by Peter Reynolds, you will create 3 different paintings of landscapes.

Using photographs or plein air (painting outside), paint 3 separate skies.  You can include as much of, or just a little bit of landscape for perspective reference.  You will upload each picture here and then bring them into class as part of your portfolio.

Think about the following:  Do you see more colors at at sunrise or sunset?  Stormy skies?  Even on a Blue Bird day, the sky includes variations of blues.  How can you convey those colors in your watercolor?
