Extra Learning Activities

Each Friday, the whole grade will participate in a variety of activities. These include Art, Minecraft, Guest Presenters, and an Incentive for completing classwork.

We will also be working on students; emotional IQ through lessons and activities throughout the school year that help them recognize their emotions and how to handle them, as well as build relationships and a community within the classroom.

Expectations

In each classroom, we will discuss our specific expectations and consequences; however, we have four basic School-wide rules follow:

  • Be Respectful
  • Be Responsible
  • Be Safe
  • Be Kind

Technology Rules:

  • Laptops Plugged in EVERY NIGHT!!!!
  • Bring Laptops to school every day

  • Minor misbehavior incidents will be handled in class, but if the behaviors adversely affect the educational or personal rights of individuals or the class in general, then parents and/or the School Administration may be involved.

Homework

Each week students will be expected to read for 30 minutes and complete a few continued learning opportunities for math.

Beyond those two required activities:

Time will be given in each class to complete all school assignments. Any assignments not completed in class will then be considered homework.

Playlist items include required and optional activities. Students will have a Playlist course in Canvas. Time will be given in class to work on these items. But in order to receive associated prizes, students may need to work on items at home also.
