Cindy is packing a lunch for her daughter, Emily, to take on a field trip. She slices an apple into eight pieces. She eats one of the slices and places the remaining slices into a bag for lunch. At lunchtime, Emily eats four of the slices. Write a fractions subtraction equation that describes the fraction of the apple Emily had in her lunch, the fractional amount she ate and the fractional amount she has leftover.
