The students will be observing a system and identifying where there is energy. They will then investigate several phenomena to learn more about how sound, light, heat, and electric energy are transferred.

Episode Overview:

Episode 1: Students will ask questions, obtain information, and use a model to communicate about energy in system

    • Approx: 1- 45-60 minute session

Episode 2: Students will plan and carry out investigations to construct and explanation about how heat (energy) is transferred from place to place.

    • Approx: 1- 60 minute session

Episode 3: Students will plan and carry out investigations to construct and explanation and argue from evidence about how (energy) is transferred and converted into a new form of energy.

    • Approx: 1- 60 minute session

Episode 4: Students will plan and carry out investigations and develop a model to explain how sound (energy) is transferred from place to place.

    • Approx: 1- 45- 60 minute session

Episode 5: Students will plan and carry out investigations and develop a model to explain how electrical (energy) is transferred from place to place.

    • Approx: 1- 60 minute session

Episode 6:  Students will plan and carry out investigations and develop a model to explain how light (energy) is transferred from place to place and converted to a another form of energy.

    • Approx: 1- 30-45 minutes

Episode 7: Students will design a device that converts energy from one form to another and cooks the perfect s’more.
