Grading

Mrs. Puente's Grading Policy

The purpose of your student’s time at school is to learn. We grade so that students can see their mistakes and learn from them. I believe they should also be given the opportunity to correct them. If a student can show that they know why they made a mistake and then correct it, they should be graded accordingly. 

That being said, students who turn their work in ON TIME will be given the opportunity to fix any mistakes they have made. Late work will not be given the same opportunity. 

Our class will be using the district approved Canvas system which can be accessed through your students myDSD account. You will find up to date information about what we are learning, your student’s grades and any upcoming events or projects. Announcements will be posted weekly so this will be a good resource to keep in touch. If you need help accessing Canvas please let Mrs. Puente know and she can send you instructions.
