Quarantine Matrix

Hey There! 

It looks like you will be learning from home for a day or two!

Welcome to your Quarantine Learning Portal.  It's a lot like your Power Hour Matrix, so it will be pretty easy to figure out. 

Every day, please do the following:

1) Complete the MUST DO DAILY assignments across the top of matrix.

2) Choose ONE enrichment activity from the Language Arts Section to complete.

3) Choose ONE enrichment activity from the Math Section to complete.

A few notes:

1) Each enrichment activity can only be done twice during your quarantine.  

2) If there is not a designated place in Canvas to turn in your work, text a pic or email it to Mrs. Herrick or Mrs. Gotti.

Must Do Daily:

Complete 20 minutes of Reading i-Ready Links to an external site.

Must Do Daily:

Pick a game to play or story to read from McGraw Hill. Links to an external site. When you finish the game, snap a pic of your score and send it to Mrs. Herrick. When you finish a story, snap a pic of one of the questions you filled out while reading and send it to Mrs. Herrick.

• A summary of the main points
• Something that you want to learn more about because of this episode.

Journal Writing:

• Choose a prompt and write a 5-6 sentence paragraph about it.
• Remember to Restate and Answer
• Send a pic or email it to Mrs. Herrick.

Story Write

• Write a story that includes characters, setting, a problem and solution.  Your story should be a least two paragraphs long.
