Hello! I am super excited to meet you this year. I have taught 5th grade for 6 years. I think that 5th grade is absolutely the BEST. A little about me-I am an active person who loves to be outdoors when I am not in the classroom. My family consists of my husband and 3 kids-who aren't so little any more. My son is currently serving a church mission in Peru, my middle daughter is a senior a Farmington High school and my youngest daughter is starting 7th grade at Farmington Junior High. I love to trail run, hike, mountain bike, camp and have awesome adventures outside. I also love to read and hang out with family and friends. Fun Facts: I played soccer in college, I have hiked to the top of the highest mountain in the lower 48 states. I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers. I was born in Seattle, WA but went to high school in Pennsylvania. I know how to knit.

| Why I teach | I always loved school when I was growing up. I started teaching because I want students to look forward to going to school and have a positive, confidence building time at school. I am all about students. |
| Teaching Philosophy | My vision is that all students can learn. I feel it is my job to encourage students to be who they are and discover their strengths, inspire them to want to learn, and connect with each one. In my classroom instruction is tailored to individuals and student choice and preference is honored. As well as covering standards, students will develop collaboration skills and critical thinking skills while constructing knowledge.so they can succeed in the world! |
