About MeAfter graduating from Layton High, I went to BYU where I graduated with a degree in Home Economics Education. (That was the last year it was ever called that - don't call me a Home Ec teacher, it's FCS.) During my first years of teaching, I married to my husband (another great teacher) and we went on to get our Master's Degrees in Education together. Yes, it was cute. By the end of my 5th year of teaching, (literally - the last day of school) I delivered my second baby and decided it was time to stay home for a little bit and be a mom. After a two year "break" (staying home is way harder than working, in my opinion) I came back to teaching and have been going ever since because I love it! I have taught at 5 different high schools, but Iove being a Lancer once again and make it a family affair with kids who are students here. At home, I have 5 kids that keep me crazy (my students keep me sane). As a family, we love WWE, Monster Jam, and Survivor, and sometimes my husband and I like to pretend we're on The Amazing Race. If I have free time, I love to workout, sew, do escape rooms, lock myself in my room and watch reality tv, play board games with my family, go on dates with my husband, and eat cookie dough...lots and lots of cookie dough...and peanut butter - YUM - but not necessarily together. And if I have extra money, throw in a cruise or two. The beach is my happy place! |
