Using the R.A.C.E. Strategy, Links to an external site. identify and explain one example of irony in "The Cask of Amontillado." Be sure to fully explain HOW your example is ironic. You can choose from the following types:
- Situational irony: The opposite of what we would expect to happen
- Verbal irony: Saying the opposite of what you mean (sarcasm)
- Dramatic Irony: The reader or audience knows something a character does not
Please highlight your paragraph according to the below colors:
"R" (blue) - Reword the question in the form of a statement. Include the title and author. This should NOT be phrased as a question!
