Important Canvas/Grade Reminders

It's been a great start to the year! Can you believe it's September? Bring on fall! 

Here are some important reminders about Canvas and your grade:

1. myDSD shows your grade in my class. Canvas is a tool and is great for feedback about individual assignments, but it does not reflect your overall grade.
2. Go to myDSD and check the assignment titled Honors Designation Only: Why Read? If you have a score or a missing, I have you on my list of students pursuing the honors designation. If the assignment is blank, you are not on my honors designation list. Please let me know if I made any errors.
3. Regularly check assignments I've graded by looking under Recent Feedback (on my Canvas Homepage). Closely look at rubrics, as well as specific comments so that you know what to improve. Remember that you can redo any assignment ONE time, so use the feedback I give you to know exactly what to fix. 
4. Please do not email me if you redo an assignment. I will see a notification to grade it (with the exception of discussion threads--so lame)! Keep in mind that redo assignments (and late work) are on the bottom of my priority list, so please be patient to see the new grade show up on myDSD. Give it a week before you email me that you submitted a revised or late assignment.
