Introduction to Health Science

Welcome!!  

Intro to Health Science is designed as 2 classes within 1 class.  It is 0.5 year of Intro to Health (CTE) credit and 0.5 year of Health Ed II credit.

Intro to Health Science is designed to create an awareness of career possibilities in healthcare and inform students of the educational options available for health science and health technology programs. Instruction includes beginning anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, medical ethics, diseases, and disorders. The course prepares students for the Medical Anatomy/Physiology course and/or for a variety of health technology programs.  

Health Education II, is an integral part of a student success in acquiring the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for life-long healthy behaviors. Habits that you establish will impact your future health status in a positive or negative way.
