Having Computer Problems?

Technical Support Troubleshooting

If you are having a problem with anything that has been assigned to you please try these things first: 

The following items are troubleshooting steps to fix known problems that may arise.

 

If you have tried all the items below and you are still having problems please email me.  In the email please tell me exactly what you have tried and exactly what problems you are having.  The more detail that you can give me the better I can help you.

  1. Check the volume on the headphones to verify they are on
  2. Check the volume on the computer to verify it is on and not muted
  3. Check volume in the program to verify it is on and not muted
  4. Check that the headphones have not been blocked and that they are an allowed device on the computer
  5. Unplug and re-plug in the headphones
  6. Turn the computer off and back on again with the headphones plugged into the computer
  7. Try a different pair of headphones
  8.  Check to see if headphones are not disabled in computer settings

  1. Close the program and restart
  2. Log completely out of the program and then restart
  3. Restart the computer
  4. Check that the computer is not blocking the microphone

  1. Close the program and restart
  2. Verify that you have typed your username and password correctly
  3. Verify that you typed in the correct password  - it is your username again
  4. Verify that you typed the correct school code (UT258) and Syracuse Junior is the school listed in the corner
  5. Restart the computer

  1. Close the program and restart
  2. Restart the computer
  3. No sound, check that the volume is on
