Go to the DSD Canvas Information page Links to an external site. and scroll down to the "Help for Parents" section. The first option, "Creating an Observer Guardian Account" will walk you through the steps to create an account (written instructions as well as a video).

  • This site give instructions for initial setup and for linking or "pairing" your account to multiple students in a household.
  • This account will help you stay on top of all of your student accounts.
  • You can also link your students' Canvas calendars to your preferred digital calendar through this account.

 Student Guide

The Canvas Student Guide provides information and guidance related to all things Canvas! Below, you will find both the text and video versions of the Student Guide: 

 Has Your Child Missed Class?

When your student has been absent, please check the Class Module to catch up on any missing work. You can use the Canvas "Grades" to keep track of work that your student needs to finish online. When your child returns to school I will work with him/her to help him/her catch up on any in-person work.

About the RISE Test

We will be taking the RISE test in the Spring. In fourth grade we are tested on Language Arts, Math, and Science. As we get closer to the test dates, they will be posted in the Class Newsletter.
