A little about me:

I grew up in Ogden, UT, and I have lived in Utah my entire life. I love science! I have a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice (2001) from Weber State University; as well as a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education (2011) from Western Governors University.  I also have a Master of Education degree from Western Governor University (2016); as well as a Master in Biological Sciences (2021) from Grand Canyon University. You might say, I really like school. 🤷‍♀️

I have worked in education for the last 11 years. Before that, I was a stay-at-home mom to our 5 wonderful children. I taught a year in kindergarten, and 3rd grade, as well as a year in 5th grade, and then 7 years in 6th grade before coming to North Layton Jr High.  This is my 4th year, and obviously, my FAVORITE school!

I have 5 children.  One boy and 4 girls.  My son is 22, he runs his own business with his friend and is loving life. My older daughters are 21 and 19; they both work and go to College. I have a daughter who is a High School Senior this year and is working hard to graduate early. My youngest is in 9th grade, and like you, she is learning to navigate Jr High/High school and everything that comes with it.

I enjoy spending time with my family, our crazy dog, Kuma, and my fantastic cat, Binx. I also REALLY LOVE teaching junior high. 😁 If you want to know anything else, just ask!
