OBJECTIVE
I will learn about the first ancestor from my family who came and settled in Utah and write a report about them.
ASSIGNMENT
The definition of a pioneer is: "one who goes before, to prepare the way for others." Not all pioneers to Utah came in 1847. For the past 150 years, immigrants have continued to come into Utah from other countries and states. Find out who among your ancestors was the first to come to Utah and write about them.
GUIDELINES
You will be putting together a presentation either via PowerPoint or Keynote about the first ancestor in your family who came to Utah or the United States. In your report please include the following information:
1. The name, age when they came to Utah, and a description of your ancestor.
2. Where they came from.
3. When they came.
4. Why they came.
5. How they came (type of transportation).
6. Where in Utah they settled and what they did for a living.
7. An incident (or story) in the lives that is interesting.
8. A picture of your ancestor, if possible.
9. This report should be approximately 8 slides in length. This report should be written in your own words, even if you find information on the internet or from books. Upload the report to Canvas.
