I have learned that the United States of America has a constitution and today I will learn that all states have a constitution including the state of Utah. I will learn about the specific rights and responsibilities outlined in our state constitution.
Assignment
As a citizen of Utah there are several rights and responsibilities you have and must uphold to be a good contributing member of your society. Do you know what the Utah Constitution says about those rights and responsibilities? Today you will be learning about the specific rights and responsibilities that the citizens of Utah have.
Guidelines
- Read the information provided below to develop a good understanding of the rights and responsibilities you have a citizen of Utah.
- As a member of the great state of Utah our constitution (set of written principles and laws) guarantees you certain rights and privileges. The Utah Constitution is pattern after the constitution of the United States. Although these rights/freedoms are wonderful, they come with some responsibilities too. See the chart below:
