FIT7.T1.M2.03 Basic skills of common games and activities

Objective

I can learn and demonstrate the basic skills of common sports and activities.

Identify and practice techniques in a variety of rhythmic activities such as dribbling a basketball, kicking a soccer ball, or volleying a tennis ball.

 Task

In this assignment, you will be making a video to demonstrate the basic skills of three common sports.

Instructions

1.  Before watching the following videos," record yourself doing 2 of these 3 things.

   Dribbling a basketball, (if you don't have one any ball will do),

   Kicking a soccer ball, or any ball,

   If you have a tennis racket and ball hitting it to someone.

2.  Watch the three videos below about basics in 3 different sports.

3. Think about what you did correctly and what you did differently from the coaches in the videos.

4. Video yourself doing the same thing and tell me what you learned.  You will submit a video of the following:

           -Your pre learning attempt (step 1)

           -A brief summary of what you did differently from the coaches in the videos

           -A Video of yourself doing the activity according to the coaches' directions (or as close as you can to what they say)

5.  Submit the video to Canvas.

Rubric:

Demonstrate that you learned something new about  2 of the 3 sports. 

4 = Did at least 2 of the sports and showed that you learned at least 1 new thing from the videos.

3 = Completed 2 of the sports and showed that you learned at least 1 new thing from the videos

2 = Completed 2 of the sports, but did not demonstrate anything from before to after.

1 = Completed 1 or less of the sports and did not demonstrate anything from before to after.
