The Rundown:
As discussed in class, a shot list is a method of pre-production which focusses on creating a list of video shots you plan to take while filming. In many cases, this functions as a type of "brainstorming" session which prepares you to get the best footage while filming. In more professional cases, the shot list helps organize what you plan to film when as well as what materials, lights, camera accessories, etc. that you need to use in each shot. The shot is is one of the most universally important pre-production tools, and it is undoubtedly used at every professional film set.
The Instruction:
To create a basic shot list - what we will be making today - simple create a google doc, or similar, and create a numbered list of shots you plan to film for the project. You may use any form of descriptions which helps you plan the shot. It will be easiest for you to get enough shots planned if you try to include all forms of cinematography in your plans: e.g. plan shots with different camera angles, different camera movements, different shot sizes, different uses/interactions with your object, different light colors or set-ups, and any combination of those details.
In general, your shot list should be understandable to you foremost but should be well described enough that someone else could read and understand your intentions through just the descriptions.
The Requirements:
Create your shot list as described above (with 20-25 different shots included) and submit your document to this assignment page.
