Three Point Lighting
The Rundown:
Most films and music videos are produced with what we call "studio lighting" (i.e. setting up professional lights in a set or indoor studio space). While there are many ways of lighting a studio or film set, the most common way of doing so is through what we call a three-point light setup.
Today, you're going to practice creating a three-point light set-up and understanding the lights and terms which go with it.

Terms to Know:
Key Light | The primary source of artificial light used in videography to illuminate a subject. |
Fill Light | A secondary light source used in videography to reduce the intensity of shadows created by the main light source, or key light |
Back Light | A lighting technique in videography that involves placing a light source behind a subject and facing it towards the camera. |
