Circulate & Check: Monitor student devices through active circulation.
Device Parking: Designate a spot for devices during direct instruction.
Two-tab Rule: Students use only the task tab + Canvas—teachers monitor during walk-bys. (Blocksi)
Open/Close Routines: Quick device check at start/end—battery, login, updates.
Class Jobs: Roles like charger checker or tech helper boost engagement.
Tech Time Out: Close devices during clarifying instructions, turn and talk, or discussion moments.

🕒 Keeping Students On Task

Set Clear Expectations: Review acceptable sites and task goals before work begins.
Use Visible Timers: Project a countdown timer to help students stay focused.
Strategic Seating: Arrange seating for easy screen visibility (e.g., “U” formation).
Spot-Check Devices: Randomly check screens or use tools like Blocksi/GoGuardian.
Movement & Feedback: Circulate frequently, giving quick feedback and redirection.
Student Self-Monitoring: Encourage quick self-checks every few minutes.
Reflection Moments: End work time with a brief reflection on accomplishments.
