RESOURCES

Barbara Oldham, Reference and Instruction Librarian, you may email with questions at: boldham@wvc.edu. Please allow 24 hours for a response. I am also available in person in the library.

When selecting your resources for annotation, ask yourself:

  1. Is this journal/article/book/video about literature? Is it a secondary source that talks about literary criticism or about an author or a piece of literature or a literary device?
  2. Does it contain literature? Does it contain poems or short stories, a dramatization of a short story or a reading of a poem (video)? If so, you can use this for your annotation, except don't annotate a short story or poem, only criticism. You can annotate a journal of primary material (literature) or a book, but not as an "article."
  3. If it is printed material, is the call number an 800 number?
