Intro to Spanish--Level 2
Welcome!
This class is meant to be a continuation of year one of Spanish. This course is designed using thematic units per the district curriculum. Students will show proficiency in selected thematic units through different modes of communication such as speaking, reading, and writing. We will use a variety of activities to help students learn the language in a way that will be engaging and effective.
Distance Learning Day Expectations: Students will need to complete work assigned in modules on their assigned distance learning days. The information (typically vocabulary, grammar, expressions,etc.) given will then be practiced and assessed during the following in-class session. If you do not do your distance learning work you may find yourself behind and may need to do extra work to catch-up.
In-Class Learning Day Expectations: On your scheduled "in-class" learning days you will be expected to have completed assigned work PRIOR to coming to class. In person instruction will be used to practice, assess, and answer questions about the material assigned. Students will be focusing on performing tasks in the target language throughout the year to show proficiency in Spanish.
Office Hours: Friday's 8:30-12:15 pm -- I hope to be able to schedule times where students can sign up if they need extra help on the weeks assignment or to come in if they were absent that week. I will have times for students to sign-up so that the numbers are low to ensure social distancing. I will adjust this as we learn what is needed and how it can be effective. I will of course be online also and should be able to answer any questions students have in short order. Students please email using Canvas only.
