Mini Biography
I graduated from Weber State University with a degree in Anthropology and a minor in Geographic Information Systems. Archaeology was the main subfield of Anthropology that I studied, so I have a special love for it. I completed my archeological field school in Idaho at a rock shelter occupation site that was used most likely used by Native American people as a base camp for hunting, and more. I have also completed a Master's of Education degree, specializing in Learning & Technology, from Wester Governor's University.
I recently remarried and now in my family I have three biological daughters and two bonus kids from my husband, Jared. We love to travel, work in our yard, play with our dogs, hike, camp, and more. I am an artist and I love to paint. I also love to garden. In our home we have 5 leopard geckos, lots of fish in our aquarium, 5 chickens, 3 dogs, and 3 cats. It's a little crazy, but we are surviving. :)
I enjoy being a teacher because I have a love for helping young people learn and grow. Teaching also connects me to my community, and helps me to feel a deep sense of purpose and joy. The subjects that I teach at Mueller Park Jr. are Digital Literacy, CCA, and Yearbook. I also teach Creative Coding at Davis Connect (the online school). The things that matter most in my life include being a good person, being with my family, finding ways to grow and progress as an individual, and enjoying each day as best as I can.
I'm excited to be one of your teachers! 🥰👩🎓👩🏫🍎🏫😻
