Composition or Spiral Notebook, any color (to be kept in class)

Pencils or pens

Optional:  Colored Pencils; Gluestick; Scissors

 

Office Hours

I am available to meet on Fridays, either virtually or in person at the school.  Please schedule through the Canvas calendar. I enjoy communicating with parents and guardians and you can email me anytime.

 

In-Class vs. Remote Days: 

In-Class Days:  We will be using the laptops in class each day; please come with a charged device.  Time will be given in class to complete assignments. 

Remote Days:  Students should plan on 60 minutes of homework.

 

Absences

Please stay home if you have any Covid symptoms or do not feel well!  In-Class and Remote assignments can be accessed through Canvas.  Students are responsible for making up missed work.

 

Late Work Policy

Assignments may be turned in late without penalty up until the end of each term.  There is no penalty for retaking quizzes or re-doing assignments and the highest grade will be kept.

 

Classroom Expectations

Students are expected to respect themselves, other students, and the teacher.

 

 Grading

I will be using a standards-based grading system. Students will work towards proficiency in each standard.

Honors Designation Requirements

  • Students will demonstrate the highest level of mastery on at least 90% of priority standards over the duration of the course. The honors designation will be available in honors classes and traditional classes with the designation being added to the transcript at the end of the course.

 

Accomodations

Accomodations requested for disabilites and medical issues protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act will be honored.
