Mr. Moore's Homepage

My name is Val Moore. I started teaching school in Memphis, TN in 2007. I taught Orff music for five years at Douglass Elementary before moving to Utah in 2012. I started teaching part time at North Layton Junior High that year to three choir classes consisting of about 125 students total. Within two years I had tripled the number of students in the choir program. In 2019 I start the school year at Clearfield High School. I'm grateful for the opportunity to be here!

I received my bachelors in music business management from Southwest Minnesota State University in 2006. While teaching with an alternative license in Memphis, I attended school at the same time to receive my teaching license and eventually my masters in education from Union University in 2010.

I have always been involved with and love music, as does my family. My wife and I have 5 kids, ranging in ages from 16 to 7 - Aleece, Madelaine, Lennon, Harrison, and McCartney. We also have a dog named Starr. (Do you see a connection?)

I'm so glad to be teach at CHS this year. This really is exactly what I have always wanted to do. I hope your students enjoy my classes this year!
