I absolutely love teaching choir here at Woods Cross! My ultimate goal is to make music accessible and JOYFUL for every student, while continuing the unparalleled legacy of excellence that WXHS choirs are known for. ABOUT ME:

I grew up in Utah, and my family and I are currently living in Farmington. My husband is an amazing supporter of my love of music, and all 4 of my children are musicians to one degree or another (Choir, Piano, Cello, Viola, Harp, and Musical Theater). My oldest son and his wife are up at Utah State, my second son is at BYU Provo, my 3rd son is on a religious service mission in Brazil, and my youngest daughter is a sophomore at Viewmont. I graduated many years ago from BYU, where I started as a piano performance major, then switched to vocal performance, and finally found my passion for teaching and earned my degree in K-12 Music Education. After graduation, I taught choir at a private school, then took time off to raise my family. After my youngest started school, I returned to teaching, and have worked in Davis School District as an Elementary Music Prep teacher, as an Elementary Fine Arts Coordinator, at Millcreek Jr High where I taught choir and theater, and now I have the best job, teaching the greatest students in the world, here at Woods Cross High School.  Some of the things I love in addition to all things music are football, spending time in the mountains (hiking, camping, fishing), and reading books.  I have had many performance opportunities, including playing the piano in the White House, singing in the palace of King Hussein in Jordan, and performing at Carnegie Hall in New York. I have sung with BYU Singers, the Albuquerque Symphony, the Utah Symphony Chorus, Deseret Chamber Singers, and several other performing groups. I am currently a member of the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, and the Da Pacem Choir in Utah County. As much as I love performing, teaching is my FAVORITE thing! My primary goal as a teacher is to help you feel a love for music that will bring you joy and peace throughout your life. 

CHORAL DEPARTMENT CALENDAR 2024-2025

This is an overview of performance dates throughout the school year*. I will do my best to keep these dates as listed, but there may be a few changes throughout the year.

*Madrigals will have an additional performance calendar for the Christmas season with several different performance opportunities in December.
