Welcome to World Geography!
We live in a wonderful, beautiful and exciting world. This course is designed to introduce students to using geographic perspectives to better understand the beautiful world in which they live. It addresses people, places, events, cultures, and environments in the context of world regions while answering the “why of where.”
During each unit we will study the physical characteristics, population and culture, political and economic systems, and explore current geographic issues and concerns. Each unit will include discussion and note presentations, learning activities and assignments, examination of regional issues in the form of a case study, reading/writing activities, locational mapping, and an assessment. We will use geographic tools, such as maps, charts and graphs, daily.
We will navigate our units through Canvas. you can access course materials through your parent Canvas account.
