ℹ️ General Information

Important to know about ALL language classes, including Spanish:

  • All language classes (not only Spanish) are year-long. So please, plan your schedule accordingly.
  • Spanish 3 and Spanish 4 classes offer the unique opportunity to obtain college credits by enrolling in the Weber State University Concurrent Enrollment program; I highly encourage all the students to benefit from this opportunity to receive college credits and explore possible language pathways. Please check at Weber CE webpage Links to an external site. for information about how to enroll and important dates.
  • Bridge Course students' enrollment in the concurrent enrollment program is mandatory to obtain the three upper-division credits offered for that class. Students must meet this requirement by the university's deadline, or they will have to drop the class.

🧑🏻‍💼 About your teacher

Hi, my name is Fermín Soriano. I am very excited to continue teaching at Farmington High School! I am originally from Spain. I taught Spanish at Davis for eight years and started at Farmington High School when the school opened. Before, I was teaching at Viewmont and Farmington Junior Highs. I was a Spanish teacher in Spain as well. My degree is in Spanish Language and Literature in Spain, as well as a master of Education from Weber State University. I am married to my beautiful wife, Brittany, a fifth-grade teacher at Canyon Creek Elementary. Together we have a family of three boys and one girl.

This year, I will teach CE Spanish 3 and CE Spanish 4 and continue leading the pure CE class Spanish Bridge Class (SPAN 3117). If you want more information about these classes, please click Class Baner.
