About CNA

The purpose of this course is to enable students to become part of the health care team by learning the role of the nursing assistant in providing patient care. The students will also take a written and skills State Exam, and when passed, will certify them as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of Utah. I feel privileged to work with the students in this class and am looking forward to this semester. I love nursing and know the importance of taking care of others in a facility and/or hospital. This course is rigorous yet rewarding to those who seek to help others in this dignified field of work. I have very high expectations for our class. I expect a professional atmosphere in class and especially during our clinical experience in various facilities throughout our community. Thank you for participating in this class. It is going to be a great experience!!
