Applied Math 7 Syllabus

Objective: Students will demonstrate understanding of Math 7 concepts while addressing their individual needs based on their individual IEP goals.
Materials Needed:
- Scientific Calculator (TI – 34 or like)
- Pencils
- Notebook paper
- Notes Booklet will be provided by the teacher
Grading:
Assignments and tests will be graded based on the criteria set up in the IEP (i.e. 80% accuracy over 3 consecutive trials).
A – Criteria listed in IEP, attends class, and frequently participates in class activities based on their individual needs.
B – Criteria – 10 percentage points, attends at least 80% of the class, and occasionally participates based on their individual needs.
C – Criteria – 20 percentage points, attends at least 60% of the class, and sometimes participates based on their individual needs.
Anything below the listed expectations, we will have a conversation as an IEP team, student included.
Citizenship: See page 5 of the student handbook. Students are expected to:
- Come to class prepared (homework, computer assigned, pencil/pen, and notebook)
- Participate appropriately and be respectful to all
- Cheating is unacceptable.
It is required that students show their work. It can be done in a creative way. Understanding of each concept is necessary.
IEP Information: As a general practice unless requested, IEP meetings will take place through a zoom meeting. If you would like to come in person, please let us know as we are scheduling the IEP meetings.
Education is for learning, Learning happens when we enjoy what we are doing, we hope the time in class and out of class will be enjoyed.
