About 6th Grade Scheduling

 

Here in 6th grade, we do many activities that will help you get to know and interact with other teachers and students beyond your own class.  Below is a list of our teachers.

Extra Learning Activities

On Fridays, the whole grade will participate in an additional educational activity all together. These may include Art, Problem Solving Challenges, Grade-Level Buddies, Guest Presenters, and Incentive activities for completing classwork. 

We will also be working on students' emotional IQ through lessons and activities throughout the school-year that help them recognize their emotions and how to handle them as well as build relationships and a community within the classroom. 

Expectations 

In each classroom, we will discuss our specific expectations and consequences; however, we have four basic School-wide rules follow:​

• Be Respectful​
• Be Responsible​
• Be Safe​
• Be Kind

Technology Rules:​

• Laptops Plugged in EVERY NIGHT!!!!​
• Bring Laptops to school every day​

• Minor misbehavior incidents will be handled in class, but if the behaviors adversely affect the educational or personal rights of individuals or the class in general, then parents and/or the School Administration may be involved.​

Homework 

Each week students will be expected to read for 2 hours at home and complete a few continued learning opportunities for math.

 

Beyond those two required activities:
Time will be given in each class to complete all school assignments. Any assignments not completed in class will be then be considered homework.
