Welcome!

My name is Karen Mauerman and I am your teacher and guide for the year.  You or your parents can contact me through a canvas message or at kmauerman@dsdmail.net.

Where is the best place to find your most current grade?

Canvas.  I do not import grades to myDSD daily.  Go to canvas to see  grading comments and the most up-to-date scores.

What should you do if a score is showing as missing in canvas but you know you turned it in?

Look for a grading comment.  If there is no grading comment, I'm still grading.  If you have a grading comment, and it's still zero, there is a problem.  Come and see me.  Your grading comment will most likely tell you that it is missing.

Where can you find your work if you are absent?

No need to wait to get back to school to know what you are missing.  All assignments, instructions, and support materials are posted in canvas.  Log in, read your module, and start working.  You can stay up to date by doing your work from canvas.

How can you log in to your online textbook?

Health:

Go to the clever app in your Microsoft 365 account.  Then find the textbook called "Savvas Easy Bridge"  this is your health textbook.  I recommend going to the upper right corner and clicking on the three bars to select the table of contents so you can advance to your desired chapter and page number.

Spanish:

Go to the clever app in your Microsoft 365 account.  Then find the textbook called "CL Carnegie Learing"  this is your Spanish textbook.  When you are in find the Passport/Mathiaflex tool bar.

Do you need extra help?

I am happy to help you with missing work and assignments if you will come and see me.  I'm here in the morning and after school.  If you need more than a few minutes of help, schedule an appointment with me after school.  Don't wait until the end of the term to get help with missing work.  Get problems resolved as soon as possible.

Let's work hard and have fun learning together!
