Social Studies Teacher

Welcome!

My name is Kellen Jones, but I also go by KJ. I am so excited to be your teacher this year. I am in my 14th year of teaching and I love my job as much as I did on day one. I knew in the 2nd grade that I wanted to be a teacher and I have never looked back. I am a Viewmont graduate and I loved my time spent here as a student. I have many fond memories of this building and Viewmont will always be my home! After I graduated as a Viking, I attended Utah State University where I received my bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Social Studies. I teach AP US Government and Politics, US History 2, and Sociology. I also coach the Lady Vikes Soccer team and will be involved as an Assistant Athletic Director. I love traveling, Beyonce, Nerds Gummy Clusters (yes, they are better than the Nerds Ropes) and I consider Diet Coke to be a main source of survival!
