In groups of 5-7 students, try the "Group Write" activity as explained below.

Materials needed:
- strips of duct tape of equal length, one for each student in your group.
- one sharpie for each group.
- butcher paper taped to your table, one for each group.
Connect each person's strip of duct tape to the sharpie. Without anyone in the group touching the sharpie, only holding the end of their own strips of duct tape, write the word "Goal" on your paper.
Questions for class discussion during debriefing:
- What was the goal of the activity?
- What did you notice during the activity that got in the way of achieving that goal?
- What did you notice during the activity that helped you achieve your goal?
- How did your group monitor if you were doing well?
- How did your group adjust to complete the activity?
- How does what happened in the activity relate to monitoring and adjusting your goals in school and in life?
