Dear future Legacy Orchestra musician and parents!

When you register for classes at Legacy Jr. High, you will have the opportunity to become a member of the award-winning orchestra program at Legacy! Legacy Jr. High Orchestra is a program of high excellence and qualified for state for the last two years under my direction. Symphony also received Superior Ratings at the Trills and Thrills Festival in Spring 2024. The orchestra classes are constantly growing and participating in more competitions each year.

By signing up for Beginning Orchestra, you will learn how to play a string instrument, make new friends, develop new skills, and have fun! Many studies have proven that students who study music score higher in all areas of academia. You don't have to know which instrument you want to play yet; you just need to decide to join our awesome orchestra program. You don't need any previous musical training; there are true beginner classes. Those who started in elementary should still sign up for Beginning Orchestra and will be placed in the more advanced group; they will have more advanced music to play in that class and more quickly.

WHAT ARE STUDENTS SAYING ABOUT ORCHESTRA???

Orchestra is the class that I look forward to in the day; I might be having a bad day, and when I get into orchestra, I feel a lot better.

Orchestra is different from my other classes because sometimes the other classes aren't fun, but this one is.

I like how easy it is to be here and play and fit in.

I love in orchestra that I am playing at a level that I never thought I could, being able to read sheet music.

I'm most proud of how we sound together, and how we are all friends. I'm also proud that all of us have made new friends and we all feel like we're welcome and there's no one out of place.

It's different from other classes because I get to be able to take a break from reality and play music
